Investment bank URALSIB Capital was a partner in the sixth Federal Investment Forum, which took place in Moscow in 18 November 2009.
Dmitry Dudkin, head of Fixed Income Research at URALSIB Capital, spoke at the Forum’s conference entitled “Debt Market: Restructuring and New Placements”. Participants at the conference focused on government policy toward the debt market. Special attention was given to the prospects of the sub-federal and municipal lending market as well as the post-crisis development of the bond market on MICEX.
Participants also analyzed the effects of the crisis – the most difficult for the Russian economy in 10 years – and discussed the tactics and strategy of market participants in the new environment. Vladimir Milovidov, head of the Federal Financial Markets Service (FFMS), Alexei Savatyugin, director of the Finance Ministry’s Department for Financial Policy, Konstantin Korischenko, President of MICEX, and Roman Goryunov, Chairman of the Board of RTS participated in the forum’s plenary meeting.
Organized by the Chamber of Accounts of the Russian Federation and Securities Market magazine, and held under the aegis of the Ministry of Finance, FFMS and Ministry of Economy, November’s forum was considered the concluding event for the capital markets this year. Held for the sixth time in 2009, the forum hosted more than 200corporate market participants.
