URALSIB Capital Announces New Deputy Head of Research

Vyacheslav Smolyaninov has been appointed deputy head of research at URALSIB Capital and will also be leading the market data research team within the Research Department.

“Strengthening our team by hiring such an experienced specialist as Vyacheslav will consolidate our status as a leading local investment bank as well as further our goal of providing our clients with superior analysis on the Russian economy and its prospects,” said Konstantin Chernyshev, head of the Research Department at URALSIB Capital.

Prior to URALSIB Capital, Vyacheslav Smolyaninov worked for IFK Metropol, and from 2006 to 2008 he headed the Research Department for Russia and CIS at Generali PPF Asset Management. Prior to this he was a senior analyst at Nikoil (now URALSIB Capital), and was named one of the best analysts specializing in Russia by institutional investors. Before joining Nikoil, Vyacheslav worked for Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc. (US ).

Vyacheslav Smolyaninov received an MBA from the Simon Graduate School of Business, University of Rochester (USA).
