Matvei Taits, URALSIB Capital’s senior utilities analyst has been elected to join RusHydro’s Investment Committee.

Matvei Taits, the senior utilities analyst at URALSIB Capital was elected to participate in the Investment Committee of OAO RusHydro. The new Committee was approved on 23 January, 2009.
The other participants on the Committee include representatives of RusHydro, the Ministry of Regional Development, the Ministry of Energy, the Federal Service on Tariffs and Otkritie Financial Corporation. The Committee is chaired by Andrei Sharonov who is managing director of Troika Dialog Group and a member of RusHydro’s Board of Directors.
Matvei Taits was ranked the third-best utilities analyst by Thomson Extel Focus Russia/CIS Survey in 2008. Matvei joined URALSIB Capital in 2002 and was promoted to the rank of senior utilities analyst in the URALSIB research team in 2006. Prior to joining URALSIB, Matvei Taits worked at RAO UES where he worked as a leading specialist in shareholder relations in the Department of Equity and Shareholders.
Matvei Taits graduated from the Financial Academy under the Government of the Russian Federation with a diploma in Accounting and Auditing.
