"The global crisis and its effect on Russia"– the open lecture at Mirbis by Vladimir Tikhomirov, the Chief Economist at URALSIB Capital.

On 18 February, 2009, the Mirbis Institute hosted an open lecture by Vladimir Tikhomirov, the Chief Economist at URALSIB Capital, titled "The global crisis and its effect on Russia".
The lecture focused on the most important and urgent economic issues in the crisis period. The lecturer analyzed the sources, development and ramifications of the current global crisis and its impact on the Russian economy. He also commented on the prospects for the global and Russian economies.
The lecture attracted both students and professors of Mirbis, as well as students from other leading Moscow schools.
This lecture was the first event in a cooperation project between URALSIB Capital and Mirbis, running under the title of "Business Workshop". Under this project, the partners plan seminars and workshops with URALSIB Capital experts, Mirbis students and postgraduates in 2009.
